Woodward Park is dedicated to the strengthening and supporting of healthy marriages as God intended.

In keeping with this mission, our church family has asked Dr. Jerry and Lynn Jones to present a national marriage conference entitled “Marriage Matters,” at Woodward Park. This seminar will benefit people in every stage of life, whether single, divorced, or widowed. It’s not just a conference for people with troubled marriages. It’s for any couple who wants to build a stronger marriage, a better family and learn more about themselves. It’s for singles and young adults who will one day find themselves preparing for marriage. Marriage Matters to everyone!

Meet Dr. Jerry & Lynn Jones

This wonderful “teaching couple” brings unique experiences and exceptional qualifications to the “Marriage Matters” seminar. Jerry’s education includes two master’s degrees and a doctorate. His forty year teaching ministry has taken him to 43 states and six foreign countries and includes 17 years of teaching at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Lynn’s education includes a master’s degree in clinical psychology and seven years of university-level teaching.

Jerry and Lynn married in 1995, the second marriage for each. Jerry’s 35-year marriage ended in 1994 with the loss of his wife to a five-year battle with cancer. Lynn’s 23-year marriage ended in divorce in 1993.

Jerry and Lynn will openly share their insights and experience in this seminar’s series of studies and special sessions designed to benefit any marriage.
